A 40-ton whale takes out a South African couple’s 33ft yacht just off the coast near Cape Town.
“We’d spotted it about 100 metres away and thought that was the end of it. Then suddenly it was right up beside us,” Paloma Werner was quoted as saying. “I assumed it would go underneath the boat but instead it sprang out of the sea. We were very lucky to get through it, as the sheer weight of the thing was huge.”
This is a TRIP. But none of the articles say what happened to the animal afterwards. Was he like, “I’M GOING TO GIVE YOU GUYS A HIGH FIVE! Oh shit, I’m a whale.” Or maybe it was a dare situation? “Rob, Matt, you guys watch me hit this. Up and over, no problem.” (five minutes later) “I‘ve made a huge mistake.” And then he left? Was he okay? Did he have any ouchies? We need to get to the bottom of this.
